To deactivate the safe lock on the Volkswagen Golf, you will need to use a diagnostic tool to access the settings of the control unit: the scanner must be connected to the OBD port located at the lower left of the dashboard relative to the steering column.

Once the scanner is connected, select the model of the car in question and the corresponding version: through the settings, you can activate or deactivate the car's safe lock.

Once the system is deactivated or activated, you can disconnect the diagnostic tool.
