On the Volkswagen Golf, disabling the Safe Lock involves connecting a diagnostic tool to the vehicle's OBD port, which is located just below the steering column. Once the scanner is connected to the port, select the car model and the corresponding version: for resetting the warning light, follow all the instructions shown in the tutorial.

After the operation is complete, you can disconnect the scanner and turn off the ignition again.
