Dismantling the Front Headlight for Replacement

Model: Volkswagen Bora MK 6 - Years 1998-2005
Part: Headlight

Open the bonnet and use a screwdriver to lever in the upper hole of the front grille to detach it, then remove the other clips. Unscrew the seven screws of the lower grille using a Torx key. Force the plastic clips and remove the air intake grilles. In the air intake hole, unscrew the retaining screw and the four side screws inside the two wheel arches. At this point, the bumper is free, so gently pull it away from the front of the vehicle, disconnecting the two side cables. Now the headlight assembly is ready for replacement. Unscrew the upper and lower retaining screws and remove it by disconnecting the electrical connector. Place the bulbs in the holder and reconnect the connector to install the new headlights. Test by turning on the headlights to verify correct operation. Refit the bumper and grille.
