How to Remove and Replace the Battery

Model: Volkswagen Passat 3BG, B5 - Years 1996-2005

Open the bonnet of the engine compartment and locate the position of the battery. Using the appropriate spanner, loosen the terminals connecting the cables to the electrodes and disconnect them. Locate the bolt securing the battery in place and undo it with the appropriate spanner. Remove the battery along with its cover and replace it with the new one. Secure it in place with the bolt and spanner, reconnect the cables to the electrodes, tighten the terminals, and cover the battery with its protection. The vehicle on which this maintenance operation is performed in this video is a Volkswagen Passat.
