To replace the battery on a Volkswagen Passat, open the bonnet to access the components inside the engine bay. On the right side of the engine block, locate the battery, which needs to be freed from its cover. At this point, disconnect the power cables and unscrew the bolts securing the battery in its housing. You can now remove the old battery and insert the new spare part, connecting it to the cables and securing it with the appropriate screws.
