Removing the Front Headlamp Bulbs of the Volkswagen Polo

Learn how to replace the front headlamp bulbs of the Volkswagen Polo. Open the bonnet, and if the affected headlamp is on the driver's side, secure it as the bracket above the headlamp, which we need to remove, is the base of the fixing rod. After removing the four screws that secure it, disconnect the washer fluid refill tube and the bonnet release cable; you can then proceed to remove the bracket. You will have access to the rear of the headlamp where the access caps for the bulbs are located: for the main beam, remove the cap, disconnect the electrical connector, unclip the metal catch, and you can take out the bulb. For the dipped beam, the task is complicated by the tighter space, but there will not be a metal catch to remove.
