How to Remove the Handbrake Switch from a Volkswagen Tiguan

In this video, see how to remove the handbrake switch from a Volkswagen Tiguan. The same procedure applies to the Volkswagen Sharan and the Seat Alhambra. The handbrake button assembly is located in a specific compartment, where you have both the handbrake button and the auto hold button. Remove the entire assembly using a small blade (as shown here), but a plastic spatula is recommended to avoid damaging the plastics. After removing the assembly, disconnect the electrical connector located at the front. Using the usual method, you can remove the assembly from its housing; it will just require a bit more patience.
