To disable the alarm on the Volkswagen Polo, turn on the ignition to use the screen in the centre of the dashboard: from there, select "Setup" and then "Opening and closing". Choosing this option will bring up another screen where you can select "Interior monitoring", which will have a checkbox next to it: selecting it will remove the checkmark, indicating that the system is disabled.

Rechecking the box will reactivate the system.
