To reset the infotainment system on a Volkswagen Golf, first turn on the ignition by rotating the key in the ignition barrel. Once the ignition is on, press and hold the power button located at the bottom left of the central screen.

While holding it, you will notice that the screen will completely turn off and then turn back on after a few seconds. This indicates that the infotainment system has been reset and the settings have returned to default.
