How to Check the Engine Code on a Volkswagen Golf VII

In this video, you will see how to check the engine code on a Volkswagen Golf VII: first, observe how the vehicle communicates it through the instrumentation. You will need to press and hold the "0.0" button located in the centre of the dashboard after turning the key in the ignition, and an alphanumeric code of four digits will appear on the right side of the display: that is the engine code. You can also verify it in the vehicle registration document, in section two, under "P.5" you will find the same code. If you want to cross-check, physically go to the engine block, at the bottom near the base, and you will find the same code displayed.
