Volkswagen Golf - Video tutorial
Model: Volkswagen Golf
Golf VII, MK 7, Golf 7
- Years 2012-2019 In this video, we see how to check the engine code on a Volkswagen Golf VII. First, we see how the car communicates it to us through the instrumentation. We will need to hold down the "0.0" button in the center of the dashboard for a few moments, after turning the key in the ignition, and a four-digit alphanumeric code will appear on the right side of the display: that is the engine code. You can also check it in the vehicle registration document, in section two, under the heading "P.5," you will find the same code. If you want to do a cross-check, then physically go to the engine block, at the bottom, near the base, and you will find the same code reproduced.
