This tutorial shows how to remove the automatic gear knob on a Volkswagen Golf, a very simple and quick operation. First, go inside the cabin, then grasp the base of the gaiter, separate it from the centre tunnel, and unscrew the inner ring. Next, pry off the right side cap using a flat-head screwdriver, push the button fully outwards, and while pulling it upwards with force, detach the knob from the shaft. At this point, you can position the replacement and follow the reverse procedure.
