To change the button battery in your Volkswagen Atlas key, follow the steps outlined in this guide. First, purchase a replacement battery (model CR 2032). Then, get a flathead screwdriver and use it to easily remove the back cover of the key. Once done, locate the dead battery and remove it with the screwdriver.

Finally, insert the replacement battery and properly reassemble the back cover of the key. Test the key's functionality, and you're finished.
