Adjustment of the opening angle of the rear tailgate of the Volkswagen Tiguan MK2

The Volkswagen Tiguan's electrically operated tailgate allows for the adjustment of the opening angle to adapt it to low-ceiling garages, in order to avoid dents. To adjust it, open the tailgate using the external command until it reaches its maximum extension, press the closing button and press it again when the tailgate reaches the desired angle. Now press and hold the button until you hear a confirmation beep, release it and close the tailgate; on the next opening, the tailgate will lock at the set angle. To return the opening to maximum extension, gently push the tailgate by hand until it reaches the end of its travel, then press the button until you hear the confirmation beep.
