How do you remove the wording "Component protection active" on the Volkswagen display?
Model: Volkswagen Volkswagen Various
In order to remove the wording "Component protection active" from the display of Volkswagen cars, you need to turn on the instrument panel so that the central display also turns on: then you will need to press and hold the MENU button located on the right side of it, to access the hidden menu. Here you will need to select the options shown in the tutorial, until you select "CP_OFF": this will trigger a self-diagnosis that once completed will be indicated with a message. At this point, you can turn off the radio with the corresponding button and you will be able to turn it back on noticing that the wording has disappeared.
