How do you replace the steering angle sensor of the Volkswagen Golf?

To replace the steering angle sensor on the Volkswagen Golf, it is necessary to unscrew the screws that secure the airbag located in the center of the steering wheel: these screws will be located on the back of the wheel. Once these have been loosened, it will be possible to remove the airbag from its housing by disconnecting the connector. Then the central nut securing the steering wheel can be loosened, removing it completely along with the panels covering the steering column. Underneath, the steering angle sensor can be found, which can be removed from its seat by disconnecting the connector and then replacing it with a new replacement piece.
