How to Replace the Steering Angle Sensor on a Volkswagen Golf?

To replace the steering angle sensor on a Volkswagen Golf, you need to loosen the screws securing the airbag located at the centre of the steering wheel: these screws will be at the back of the wheel. Once loosened, you can pull the airbag out of its housing, disconnecting its connector. Then, loosen the central nut securing the steering wheel, completely removing it along with the panels covering the steering column. Underneath, you will find the steering angle sensor, which can be removed from its housing by disconnecting its connector and then replacing it with a new one.
