Volkswagen Golf - Video tutorial

Model: Volkswagen Golf Golf V, MK 5, Golf 5 - Years 2003-2008
Part: Steering wheel
Operation: How to remove the flywheel angle sensor of the VW Golf V

If the control system established (ESP) warning light, represented by the symbol of a skidding car, remains on on the instrument panel display, and the error memory contains the steering wheel angle sensor error (Error code 00788 or G85), then it means that the steering wheel angle sensor located immediately behind the steering wheel itself, just below the light deflector device, has been damaged; to be able to replace it, the airbag must then be unhooked and removed and the steering wheel and the shells that cover the light switch itself must be removed; at this point disconnect the sensor socket and unhook it first from the rear and then remove it completely.
