When the lock of the boot on a 2009 Volkswagen Touran stops working, it means that it needs to be replaced. However, to carry out this operation, you must first open the boot.

In emergency situations where the lock is not functioning, enter the vehicle and recline the rear seats to gain access to the back. Using a flat-head screwdriver, move the internal lever of the lock to release the opening.

Once the tailgate is open, you can remove the panel and perform the maintenance.
