Today, we will go through the procedure necessary to replace the battery on your Volkswagen Golf, seventh generation model produced from 2012 to 2019. Start by opening the front bonnet of the vehicle and lifting the thermal cover of the battery. Using a 10mm spanner, remove the bolts and then disconnect the negative cable followed by the positive cable of the battery.

Now, remove the entire thermal cover of the battery and take out the bolt securing the battery base before removing it completely. Finally, fit a new battery by following the reverse procedure.
