Today we will see the necessary procedure to replace the battery on our Volkswagen Golf, seventh generation model produced from 2012 to 2019. Let's start by opening the front hood of the vehicle and lifting the cover of the battery's thermal insulation, then with a 10mm wrench we will unscrew the bolts and then remove first the negative cable and then the positive cable of the battery. Now we remove the entire thermal insulation cover of the battery and remove the bolt of the fixing plate at the base of the battery, then remove it completely, finally we install a new battery following the reverse procedure.
