In this video, see how to dismantle the lower and upper dashboard of a Volkswagen Golf MK5: start by removing the two Torx screws from underneath the rubber mat. Use a plastic trim tool to lift the edges of the tray and remove the screws and the covering without scratching it, as shown in the video; once the vents are removed, you can see the screws holding the radio; disconnect the passenger airbag light and then remove the two upper screws securing the radio; take off the panel below the climate controls and the entire surround around these.
