The Service light that appears on the instrument panel of the Volkswagen New Beetle can be reset by holding down the 0.0/SET button located in the centre of the instrument panel while it is off. Continue to hold the button down, insert the key into the ignition switch, and turn it to switch on the instrument panel.

At this point, keep holding the 0.0/SET button until the reset of the light is complete.

Once the reset is finished, you can turn off the instrument panel by removing the key.
