How to Replace the Battery in a Volkswagen Tiguan

How do you replace the battery in your Tiguan? Follow these steps. Open the car's door and pull up the engine compartment release lever located at the bottom left of the dashboard, then lift the front bonnet, disengaging the locking lever with your fingers, and secure it. Remove the plastic or fabric cover (depending on the car version) that covers the battery, then use a socket spanner to disconnect the terminals of both poles and the battery hold-down bracket. Extract the worn battery. Position the new battery in the engine compartment, tighten the power terminals, and close the battery compartment. Always remember to connect the terminals as indicated on the battery.
