Video tutorial
Every fifteen thousand miles, you must replace the cabin air filter on the Volvo V40 to ensure clean air circulates in the ventilation system. To do this, sit in the passenger seat and remove the mat from the floor. Remove the trim at the end of the centre tunnel, find the filter cover near the bulkhead, which is mounted vertically, open it, and pull out the old filter. Take the new filter element, check the direction of airflow, compress it slightly, and insert it into its housing. Close the cover, replace the trim, and put the mat back.
