In the Volvo XC90, the trunk lid may get stuck due to a problem with the release button or the lock actuator. In these cases, you can still perform an emergency opening by following the simple procedure shown in this tutorial.

First, open the rear doors, then lower the backrest by operating the corresponding lever. Next, go to the cargo area, remove both the left panel and the right light, and free the entire panel.

Finally, disconnect the connector, insert a screwdriver into the indicated hole, and manually operate the lock.
