How to open the locked tailgate in the Volvo XC90?

In the Volvo XC90, it may happen that the tailgate of the trunk gets stuck, for example due to a problem with the unlock button or the lock actuator. In these cases, we can still perform the emergency opening by following the simple procedure shown in this tutorial. First, we open the rear doors, then we lower the backrest of the sofa by operating the relevant lever. We then go inside the trunk compartment, remove both the left door and the right light, and unhook the entire panel. Finally, we disconnect the connector, insert a screwdriver into the indicated hole, and manually operate the lock.
