In the Volvo XC90, it may happen that the fuel tank door gets stuck, for example due to a malfunction of the unlock button or the lock actuator. In these cases, it is still possible to perform an emergency opening by following the simple procedure shown in this tutorial. First, we open the trunk door, then lift the carpet and remove both the bottom panel and the cover of the right wall. We then locate the actuator piston, grab it and push it forward to unlock the lock. At this point, it will be possible to refuel or replace the faulty element.
