To replace the auxiliary battery of a Volvo XC60, start by accessing the rear luggage compartment, where it is housed. Lift the trunk floor to reach the compartment below and locate the cover that protects the battery. Remove it carefully, being careful not to damage any fastenings. Once exposed, loosen the cable clamps, always starting from the negative terminal to avoid short circuits, and then disconnect the positive one. Remove the discharged battery from its housing, making sure to handle it with care to prevent any acid leaks. Insert the new battery in the correct position, connecting the positive terminal first and then the negative one, tightening the clamps securely. Reposition the cover and close the luggage compartment. Finally, turn on the ignition to verify that the system recognizes the new battery and that there are no further warnings on the dashboard.
