How to Replace the Headlight Bulb on a Volvo V70

On the Volvo V70, replacing the headlight bulb often requires removing the entire headlight assembly. To start, locate the fixing screws of the headlight, usually at the top and side, and fully unscrew them.

Once freed, the headlight is guided by lower clips: gently pull it forward until it comes out of its housing. At this point, disconnect the rear electrical connector and remove the rear cover.

Locate the bulb and release it by turning it or freeing the retaining clip, depending on the type. Insert the new bulb without touching the glass with your fingers.

Close the cover, reconnect the connector, and refit the headlight into its housing, aligning the guides correctly. Re-screw the screws and check the operation of the lights before closing the bonnet.
