Rotor Removal Procedure

Model: Volvo V70 MK 2 - Years 2000-2007

This video shows how to remove the rotor from the brake caliper system of a Volvo V70 (the same procedure applies to the Volvo S60). After safely positioning the vehicle on a ramp or jack and removing the wheel, proceed to dismantle the brake caliper. You will need a ratchet spanner for this. Use a light source for better visibility. After detaching the caliper, be careful to suspend it temporarily (and not rest it on the ground) using a wire tie. Now remove the hub nut and the small security nut located near the hub. Now, you can manually pull out the rotor!
