Replacement of the V-Belt

Before proceeding with the removal of the auxiliary V-belt, it is advisable to memorise or note down the routing of the belt around the various pulleys. To replace it, you will need the appropriate tool, which consists of a square peg to insert into the centre of the tensioner to loosen it, and a pin to lock the tensioner in place. Once the peg is inserted into the centre of the tensioner, loosen it with the appropriate spanner and insert the pin to hold it in this position; then remove the old belt and fit the new one, ensuring it follows the routing around the pulleys. Loosen the tensioner slightly again to allow for the removal of the pin and then re-tension it.
