Replacing Engine Gasket

The heart of the engine is the car gasket that encloses the movement of the pistons, preventing oil from coming into contact with water. These gaskets are usually made of cast iron, and failures can occur at the welds. The cylinder head gasket is such an important component that when you notice it is damaged, it should be replaced immediately. To proceed with the replacement, check that the engine block has not been deformed, then clean the surface of the cylinder head and engine block as well as the bolt seats that secure the cylinder head cover to the engine block. You can then apply the new gasket to the engine, tightening the bolts with a ratchet spanner.
