How to Remove the Rear Seat on Volvo V60

On the Volvo V60, the seat is divided into two parts: the bottom cushion and the backrest. The bottom cushion is a snap fit, so just pull from the front and it will come out easily.

The backrests are the tricky part: they are secured with two pins that fit into a bracket. Pry a bit on the bracket and remove the pins.

Fold the backrest forward and on one side, you will notice a black plastic cover: remove it with a flathead screwdriver. Now, unscrew the 10 mm bolts that are exposed beneath the plastic.

At this point, know that you need to pull hard; you might be afraid of breaking something, but don’t worry, it will all be fine.

How to Remove the Rear Seat of a Hyundai Tucson?

To remove the rear seat of a Hyundai Tucson, follow these steps. Start by moving the front seats to their most forward position to gain space. Next, locate the release lever on the underside of the rear seat, near the floor. Press this lever down while pulling the seat upwards to unlock it from the anchor pins. Once unlocked, tilt the seat upwards and forwards to remove it from its position. Repeat this process for both sides of the rear seat. Be careful of any electrical cables or components that may be connected to the seat during removal. Once the rear seat is removed, the disassembly is complete.
