How to Remove the Rear Seat on Volvo V60

On the Volvo V60, the seat is divided into two parts: the bottom cushion and the backrest. The bottom cushion is a snap fit, so just pull from the front and it will come out easily. The backrests are the tricky part: they are secured with two pins that fit into a bracket. Pry a bit on the bracket and remove the pins. Fold the backrest forward and on one side, you will notice a black plastic cover: remove it with a flathead screwdriver. Now, unscrew the 10 mm bolts that are exposed beneath the plastic. At this point, know that you need to pull hard; you might be afraid of breaking something, but don’t worry, it will all be fine.
