To replace the tail light on a Volvo XC90, open the trunk and lift the carpet to detach the internal cover corresponding to the light to be removed. Remove all screws found inside the previously covered area and disconnect the connectors.

Then, unclip the plastic part under the light and disconnect the underlying connector. At this point, the light can be detached and removed from its housing.

The new light should be secured with the appropriate bolts and connected to the connectors.
