Replacement of Tappet Cups

Model: Volvo S70 MK 1 - Years 1996-2000

Wear of the so-called tappet cups is quite common due to continuous friction with the cam lobes of the camshaft. Once the seats of the cups are thoroughly cleaned and lubricated, insert the new cups and then the camshaft; secure the camshaft with the appropriate brackets and insert the respective side oil seals with the lip of the seal facing inward. Proceed with the installation of the timing belt pulley and the respective belt, paying attention to the alignment of the timing marks and the routing of the belt between the various pulleys.
