Replacement of Timing Belt

Model: Volvo S70 MK 1 - Years 1996-2000
Part: Timing belt

Replacing the timing belt is a delicate operation, advisable only for experienced individuals. Obtain replacement belts, tensioner wheels, tensioners, the belt installation diagram, and special tools. Start by removing the cover that needs to be taken off. Using a spanner and the appropriate tool, lock the pulley and loosen the tensioner. Lever the tensioner to relieve tension and remove the belt. Remove the bolts from the two tensioner supports and take them off. Replace the pulleys and tensioners with new parts, ensuring all components are correctly reassembled. Fit the tensioners and new belts following the assembly diagram. Refit the cover.
