Detailed instructions - In this video, the procedure for dismantling the dashboard of the Volvo 850, which is similar to the Volvo 740, is demonstrated. First, remove the air vents from the dashboard, behind which you will find the first screws to remove. Next, remove the screws in the glove compartment and along the entire frame of the instrument cluster. Finally, remove the dashboard cover first, followed by the entire front section. If desired, you can complete the job by releasing the two metal clips of the instrument cluster and sliding it out of its housing.
