Replacing the timing belt of the Volvo S60 involves removing the engine block from its housing so that the left side of the engine block can be accessed. By removing the central nut of the tensioner roller, the tension of the timing belt can be reduced, allowing it to be removed from the pulleys. The new belt can then be inserted, the tensioner roller reattached, and all removed parts reassembled.
