To replace the timing belt on the Volvo S60, you need to remove the engine block from its housing to access the left side of the engine block: here you will need to remove the protective panel under which the belt is located. By removing the central nut of the tensioner pulley, you can reduce the tension on the timing belt and remove it from the pulleys. This will allow you to install the new belt, reattach the tensioner pulley, and reinstall all removed parts.
