Replacing the Key Battery of a Volvo XC40

Let's see how to replace the battery in a five-button key for a Volvo XC40: first, remove the emergency key, then press on the textured part and take it out. On the back, there is a small Phillips screw, which we will remove. Now we can pry open the shell, and inside we find the button battery. To remove it, gently pry with a tool, and it will come out easily. It is a CR2032, which we replace with an identical one, placing the positive side inward. Press it in well, align the two halves of the remote, finding the exact point to snap them back together, then just press and reinsert the small screw. Finally, put the emergency key back in place, and the job is done.
