To adjust the handbrake on a Volvo S60, use a tool to pry off the cover around the handbrake lever. Once the cover is removed, locate the underlying bolt that allows you to adjust the tension of the cable: tightening this bolt will make the handbrake firmer and reduce its travel.

Conversely, loosening the bolt will decrease the handbrake tension, increasing its travel. After the adjustment, reposition the cover.

How to Remove the Rear Seat of a Hyundai Tucson?
