To replace the battery in a Volvo XC90, open the trunk to access the carpet at the base of the cargo area. Once you remove the carpet, disconnect the left side panel to locate the battery underneath. You can then free the battery from its compartment by loosening the screws and disconnecting the power cables. After that, insert the new battery into its housing, secure it with the screws, and reconnect the power cables. Finally, cover everything with the respective panels.
