In order to replace the battery of the Volvo XC90, you need to open the rear tailgate so that you can detach the carpet at the base of the trunk. Once the carpet is removed, you will also need to detach the left side panel in order to locate the underlying battery. It can then be freed from its housing by loosening the screws and disconnecting the power cables. By doing so, you can insert the new battery into its housing, securing it with screws and reconnecting the power cables. Finally, you can cover everything with the respective panels.
