How to replace the EGR valve on a Volvo V40?

To replace the EGR valve on a Volvo V40, open the bonnet to access the components inside the engine bay. The valve is located at the front of the engine block, just below the exhaust manifold. You can then remove the valve from its housing by loosening the screws that hold it and disconnecting all connectors related to its sensors. Once the old valve is removed, insert the new one, secure it, and connect it properly to its housing.
