In this video we see how the problem of this Volvo V40 was solved, in which the EGR valve ducts were cleaned; it had the diagnostic light on with a malfunction of the EGR valve, but in reality it had no problem; the issue was in the completely clogged heat exchanger, so the valve was not receiving the air it needed to function, and the sensor calculated that there was not enough oxygen. Consequently, the engine light comes on. However, we also need to clean the intake manifolds of the valves, which are already full of dirt, and the throttle valve. It's all a consequence derived from that clogged heat exchanger.
