Preparation for Painting the Rocker Cover

Painting the rocker cover will give the engine bay a very neat and pleasant appearance, reflecting particular care and attention towards the car. Of course, to paint it, the cover must be removed: unscrew the bolts around the edge and disconnect the vacuum hoses; once removed, wash it thoroughly to degrease it (using petrol or solvent is recommended); after cleaning, apply paint stripper to remove the original paint. At this point, the cover is ready to be painted: you will need primer for aluminium, a base coat, and finally the desired colour paint.
