Volvo V50 - Video tutorial

Model: Volvo V50 MK 1 - Years 2004-2012
Part: Valve
Operation: How do I replace the EGR valve on the Volvo V50?

In order to replace the EGR valve on the Volvo V50, you need to open the hood and access the engine compartment to locate the valve. This is positioned between the intake manifold and the exhaust manifold: to remove it it will therefore be necessary to remove the cover of the upper part of the engine block and loosen the screws that secure the valve to its housing. After having also disconnected the connectors, it will be possible to remove the EGR valve from the pipes to which it is connected, inserting a new one. This will then be suitably fixed and connected and the motor can be covered with the relative plastic panel.
