How to Replace the EGR Valve on a Volvo V50?

To replace the EGR valve on a Volvo V50, open the bonnet and access the engine bay to locate the valve. It is positioned between the intake manifold and the exhaust manifold: to remove it, you will need to take off the cover from the top of the engine block and loosen the screws securing the valve in its housing. After disconnecting the connectors, you can pull the EGR valve from the pipes it is connected to and insert a new one. This will then be properly secured and connected, and the engine can be covered with the relevant plastic panel.
