How to remove the EGR valve on a Volvo V50? Lift the bonnet to access the dedicated area. Remove the engine soundproofing panel, unscrew the EGR valve fixing screws as shown in the video (if you encounter issues: lift the car with a jack and proceed to remove the part from underneath). Once the part is removed from its seat, unscrew the screws present on it with a screwdriver. Start cleaning the valve using a suitable product for cleaning mechanical parts, using a brush to assist in the process. Replace the EGR valve if damaged.
