How to Repair the Wiring of the Rear Bonnet on Giulietta

If the heated rear window does not work or the rear wiper operates intermittently, there is likely a problem with the wiring harness that passes from the headlining into the rear tailgate through the corrugated rubber grommet near the upper hinges of the tailgate. The continuous opening and closing of the bonnet tend to sever the wires passing through this grommet. Therefore, you will need to remove all the trims of the tailgate to access the wiring, pulling it out from the grommets to perform soldering. It is advisable to add a piece of wire at each break to extend the wires, protecting everything with heat-shrink tubing and then wrapping it all with tape.
