Video tutorial

If you need to install a child seat on the front passenger seat of the Alfa Romeo MiTo, you must deactivate the airbag in front, as it could cause injury to the child if it deploys. To disconnect it, sit in the driver's seat, turn on the ignition, press the Menu button located among the buttons on the dashboard to the left of the steering column, and using the + and - buttons, display the Passenger Airbag option on the centre display.

Select it and confirm Off to deactivate it; a warning light on the dashboard will confirm the operation.
