How to Remove the Airbag on an Alfa Mito

Want to remove the steering wheel airbag? Here's how to do it from behind the steering wheel of the Mito. Insert a screwdriver into the slots at the back of the steering wheel and turn to the left until the clips/screws holding the airbag are released. Once the airbag is removed, disconnect the power connectors and take it out from the steering wheel. For reinstallation of the airbag: connect the power connector, then press it back onto the steering wheel until the clips snap into place. Unscrew the central screw if you want to replace the steering wheel from above the steering column.
