In this video, we see how to behave when we find a series of worrying error lights on the dashboard of an Alfa Romeo MiTo: hill holder not available; VDC not available; ASR, power steering, steering correction, DNA not available. Sometimes the problem disappears by redoing the check, but sometimes not and the car becomes uncontrollable. In some cases, the error occurs while the car is in motion, and then it becomes dangerous, especially with power steering in a curve. What could be the causes? In many cases, the problem is a defective or undersized battery, which, at the moment of the check, does not have enough energy, causing the control unit to go crazy and generate this error. In other cases, the problem - as in this case - is a defective steering column, which needs to be replaced (and it is not an economical problem).
