The guide shows how to replace the brake pads and discs of the Alfa Romeo Giulietta. The first operation is to lift the machine, positioning the jack in the predetermined points and to loosen the fixing nuts of the wheel a little. By turning the steering wheel it is possible to have better access to the caliper; by pressing lightly it is possible to detach the fixing clip. In the rear part of the caliper it is possible to remove the two fixing bolts. It is necessary to remove the wear sensor connector and, at this point, extract the caliper. If the disc is heavily worn it will be necessary to retract the piston. At this point it is possible to disassemble the caliper support and then the disc, by acting on the bolt fixing it to the hub. The new disk should be cleaned with a cloth before reassembling it. Refit the caliper support; insert the inner pad, which contains the wear sensor and the outer pad, and reinsert the caliper on the holder. At this point the caliper fixing bolts can be tightened and the sensor reinserted. Refit the wheel and let the machine down. Re-tighten the wheel bolts. At this point the operation is finished.
