How to Replace the Brakes on an Alfa Romeo Giulietta

This guide shows how to replace the brake pads and discs on an Alfa Romeo Giulietta. The first step is to lift the car, positioning the jack at the designated points, and slightly loosen the wheel nuts. By turning the steering wheel, you can gain better access to the caliper; apply slight pressure to detach the retaining clip. At the rear of the caliper, remove the two securing bolts. Disconnect the wear sensor connector and then extract the caliper. If the disc is heavily worn, it will be necessary to retract the piston. Now, you can remove the caliper bracket and then the disc, by acting on the securing bolt at the hub. Clean the new disc with a cloth before refitting it. Refit the caliper bracket; insert the inner pad, which contains the wear sensor, and the outer pad, then refit the caliper onto the bracket. At this point, tighten the caliper securing bolts and reconnect the sensor. Refit the wheel and lower the car. Tighten the wheel nuts again. The operation is now complete.
