Replacing the Seat Belts on Alfa Romeo 147

First, ensure you purchase new seat belts that are approved by Alfa Romeo and are the correct model for installation on an Alfa 147. To remove the old belts, take a screwdriver and pry off the plastic portion located at the height of the seat belt buckle. Then, use an Allen key to remove the small bolt that secures the belt mechanism. Apply slight forward pressure to detach it completely from its housing. You can then begin installing the new seat belt. This will have a small gear at its end that must be positioned inside the corresponding housing, from which the old belt was removed. Tighten the bolt using the Allen key and snap the plastic back into its original position.
